This policy describes how For the Love of Laundry Pte Ltd (a Singapore private limited company, also referred to as “FTLOL”, “we” or “us”) and its affiliates will make use of your data in relation to any scheduled pick up / delivery made or packages purchased. In addition, we will use your data in order to provide help and support to you.

This policy also describes your data protection rights, including a right to object to some of the processing which we carry out. More information about your rights, and how to exercise them, is set out in the “What rights do I have?” section.

What information do we collect?

We collect and process personal data about you when you interact with us, our websites and our apps, and when you purchase goods and services from us. This includes but is not limited to:

• your email address and phone number;

• your payment and delivery details, including billing address and credit card details, where you make purchases from us;

How do we use this information, and what is the legal basis for this use?

We process this personal data for the following purposes:

• Performance of a contract – To fulfil a contract, or take steps linked to a contract: this is relevant where you schedule a pick up / delivery or packages purchased from us. This includes:

  • taking payments;
  • communicating with you;
  • providing after-sales support to you.
• Legitimate purpose – Where we have a legitimate interest. This includes:
  • where we use information you provide to personalise our website, products or services for you;
  • responding to or following up on your comments and questions;
  • where we monitor customer accounts to prevent, investigate and/or report fraud, terrorism, misrepresentation, security incidents or crime, in accordance with applicable law;
  • monitoring use of our websites and online services, and use your information to help us monitor, improve and protect our products, content, services and websites, both online and offline; and

Please note that even if you opt-out of receiving marketing communications, we may need to send you service-related communications such as confirmations of any future scheduled pick up / delivery, payment notifications or purchases you may make.

Who will we share this data with, where and when?

Personal data may be shared with government authorities and/or law enforcement officials if required for the purposes above, if mandated by law or if required for the legal protection of our legitimate interests in compliance with applicable laws.

Personal data will also be shared with third party service providers, who will process it on our behalf for the purposes identified above. Such third parties include providers of customer and technical support services, logistics and delivery providers, and technology development partners.

In the event that our business is sold or integrated with another business, your details will be disclosed to our advisers and any prospective purchaser’s adviser and will be passed to the new owners of the business.

Where information is transferred outside of your home jurisdiction, and where this is to a stakeholder in a country that is not subject to an adequacy decision by the relevant regulator in your home jurisdiction, we will ensure that data is adequately protected by appropriate contractual clauses or binding corporate rules.

How is your data protected?

To safeguard your personal data from unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal or similar risks, we have introduced appropriate administrative, physical and technical measures such as up-to-date antivirus protection, encryption and the use of privacy filters to secure all storage and transmission of personal data by us, and disclosing personal data both internally and to our authorised third party service providers, and agents is only on a need-to-know basis.

You should be aware, however, that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. While security cannot be guaranteed, we strive to protect the security of your information and are constantly reviewing and enhancing our information security measures.

What rights do I have?

You have the right to ​ask us for a copy ​of your personal data; to ​correct​, ​delete or ​restrict (stop any active) processing of your personal data; and to ​obtain the personal data you provide to us for a contract or with your consent in a structured, machine readable format​, and to ask us to share (port) this data to another controller.

In addition, you can ​object to the processing of your personal data in some circumstances (in particular, where we don’t have to process the data to meet a contractual or other legal requirement, or where we are using the data for direct marketing).

These ​rights may be limited​, for example if fulfilling your request would reveal personal data about another person, or if you ask us to delete information which we are required by law to keep or have compelling legitimate interests in keeping.

For technical support the provision of certain information (for example your name or email address) is mandatory. If relevant data is not provided, then we may not be able to provide you with technical support.

All other provision of your information is optional.

Where you provide us with the personal data of any other individual, including any individual whom you might like to notify that a schedule pick up / delivery or packages purchased has been made using FTLOL’s services, you confirm that you have notified the individual of the purposes to which you are providing FTLOL with that third party’s personal data and you have obtained the person’s consent to providing FTLOL with the person’s personal data.

Who is my data controller?

FTLOL will generally act as the data controller for personal data.

How long will you retain my data?

Where we process personal data in connection with performing a contract (for example in relation to any scheduled pick up / delivery or packages purchased), we keep the data for 6 years from the date of the purchase.

Where we process personal data for site security purposes, we retain it for 12 months.

Where we process personal data for marketing purposes or with your consent, we process the data until you ask us to stop and for a short period after this (to allow us to implement your requests). We also keep a record of the fact that you have asked us not to send you direct marketing or to process your data indefinitely so that we can respect your request in future.

Our website or apps may have links to other websites that are not owned or controlled by FTLOL. We have no control over these third party websites and your use or the third party websites are subject to their privacy policy. Your use of the third parties’ website is at your own risk.
